Thursday- Kirkland Will Be OPEN!

posted Apr 25, 2018, 9:04 AM by Michelle Perey

Kirkland Parents and Families,

As I am sure many of you are aware, the teachers in Arizona and Governor Ducey are currently battling the Arizona State Legislature over teacher pay and other school funding areas. Many schools and districts around the state and across the county are preparing for a teacher walk out on Thursday, April 26th.

At this time, Kirkland teachers and staff are NOT planning to participate in this walk-out.  Instead, they are encouraging students and families to support the state-wide effort by wearing Red for Ed!

The Kirkland Staff believe strongly in the cause of increased school funding but want to support this community by remaining open and serving its families.

Again, Kirkland School will be open and operating on a regular schedule with all events and activities as previously planned. As the political situation continues to evolve, please know that I will communicate any changes that might affect our school.

Respectfully,
